The short version
Hopcheck does not collect, store, or share personal data. There are no accounts, no cookies, no trackers, no analytics, and no saved history. The URL you trace is sent to the trace service, followed, and the result is returned to your browser. Nothing about it is kept.
What happens when you trace a URL
- Your browser sends the URL you typed to the Hopcheck trace service (a
POSTto/api/check). - The service follows the redirect chain and returns the list of hops to your browser.
- The request is handled entirely in memory and is not logged, persisted, or written to any database.
What we do not do
- No cookies, local storage of your traces, or cross-site tracking.
- No analytics, marketing pixels, or third-party advertising.
- No accounts, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to delete.
- No email addresses are collected, and Hopcheck never sends email.
Data controller and contact
No legal entity has been registered for Hopcheck yet. The operator has not yet supplied a company name, a postal address, or a jurisdiction, and no mailbox exists for this service. Until the operator registers an entity and provides a contact address, there is no data controller to contact—and under this policy, there is also no stored data for a controller to hold. When a legal entity is registered, this page will be updated with its details and a contact method.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Because Hopcheck stores nothing about you, changes cannot affect data we hold about you—there is none.
